Our Mission
At CraftAIWorld, we work to modernize and preserve cultural heritages using advanced AI technologies. Our platform helps sociocultural and community members to preserve the crafts and artifacts created through handwork in a contemporary setting.
We believe cultural practices and artifacts are civilizations’ assets and hence, technology should serve to augment and enhance them. By integrating modern AI technologies with ancient artistic and cultural practices, there are exciting new avenues for cultural expression and preservation.
We believe that these modernized techniques will enable our future generations to appreciate and continue learning the rich traditions that have affected humanity for centuries.
Our Story
CraftAIWorld was established in 2023 by a group of AI researchers, cultural anthropologists, and traditional craftpeople who were united in their shared anxiety: the fast vanishing of cultural heritage in our increasingly digital world.
We observed that although technology was usually blamed for cultural homogenization, it also had the power to help preserve and revitalize traditional crafts. This prompted us to create AI tools that were tailored for cultural preservation.
Today, we collaborate with cultural centres, indigenous peoples, and artists across the globe to make sure that traditional knowledge and skills are not lost to history but rather celebrated and incorporated in our digital future.
